PREAMBLE
Youths being the pillar of every society and for that matter the Christian youth, and also the leaders of tomorrow and women and girls being vulnerable, having no opportunities, support, and care; we of CYDC have decided to unite under one umbrella to promote the causes of youths and women in our societies, help them build their skills, abilities
, talents to empower them for the challenges that lie ahead.

ARTICLE I:    ESTABLISHMENT
Section One: Name of Organization
The organization is named and styled Christian Youth Development Council – and the acronym is "CYODECO".

Section Two: Date Established
The organization was established on the 8th day of January 2009. Below are the founding members of CYDC:

  2. J. Alexander Sackie, III
  3. Perceiver Tozay Gono
  4. Pst. Henry Collins

ARTICLE II: MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
Section One: Mission
The mission of CYDC is to develop Christian youth and women capacities, skills, and talents through various programs, activities and projects, also to evangelize to youths and women of the world, and to promote the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through outreach, crusades, Gospel musical concerts and etc. To also build the capacities of youth and women in helping them to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

Section Two: Objectives

  1. To make disciples for Christ
  2. To help women develop their skills in various disciplines to alleviate poverty
  3. To raise funds for scholarships for youths and women with the desire to acquire education.
  4. To work together in Christian love, to strive for the development of Christianity in knowledge, holiness, and comfort.
  5. To contribute cheerfully and regularly to support the relief of youth, women and the vulnerable.
  6. To be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our commitments.
  7. To promote communities development through awareness campaigns, workshops etc.

ARTICLE III:            MEMBERSHIP AND DUTIES
Section One: Membership

  • Membership consists of Christian youth and women from various churches.
  • Every individual desiring to become a member must fill out a membership form which can be pick up during our regular meetings on Sundays. Completed form should be return during the next meeting date along with a passport photo.

Section Two: Duties of Members

  • All members of CYDC should be in time for all meetings, programs activities and appointments.
  • All members should learn to discipline themselves and be the first to disapprove of other members who break the agreed rules of CYDC.
  • Members are to promote a kind of discipline that will set CYDC members as examples in their respective communities.
  • Members must contribute their ideas during meetings and must contribute regular financial aid (dues) to help run the organization.
  • All members must be able to attend other church's youth activities and programs.
  • All members must strive to be prayer, knowledgeable of the Bible – Word of God.

ARTICLE  IV:     LEADERSHIP OF CYDC

  • Director:

The Director shall be the chief administration of the organization. He/she shall preside over all or every meetings of the organization; and make appointment of other officials and committees head in consultation with the executive. He or she shall be signatory to all the organization documents, communications and all financial transactions.

  • Assistant Director

He/she shall act in the absence of the Director or as may be appointed by the Director. He/she shall serve as an ex-officio of every committee.

  • General Secretary

The General Secretary shall be the sole custodian of all records pertaining to CYDC.  He/she shall perform all functions as delegated by the Director. He or she must be a signatory to all communications and documents.

  • Assistant General Secretary

He/she shall act in the absence of the General Secretary.

  • Public Relation Officer

He/she is responsible for marketing the organization through the Internet, Print Medias (newspaper, magazines) TVs, and Radios. He/she shall speak on behalf of the organization to the public.

  • Financial Secretary

The Financial Secretary is the manager of all finances of CYDC. He or she shall carry out all financial transaction on behalf of CYDC. He/she shall take records and keep all financial records of CYDC. He or she shall make financial report at the end of every quarter or as may be necessary for knowing state of the organization.

  • Assistant Financial Secretary

He/she shall act in the absence of the Financial Secretary.

  • Treasurer

He/she is the chief banker of the organization funds. He/she shall be a signatory to all financial transitions.

  • Chaplain

He/she is responsible for the spiritual up liftment of the organization.

  • Coordinator Prayer Network

He/she coordinate all issues relating to praying in the organization.

  • Project Coordinator

He/she is responsible for planning projects, implementations, supervision and completion. Coordinates all CYDC projects to the benefits of the beneficiaries.

  • IT Coordinator

He/she is responsible for acquisition of everything relating to Information Technology. He/she is responsible for the organization website.

  • Spirituals Advisors/ Pastors

CYDC shall have youth pastors and  two spiritual advisers/guidance assigned to it. These are God fearing ministers who will guide us into our working and provide us spiritual directions.

  • Foreign Representatives

They shall be responsible to establish branches at their assigned areas. They shall serve as ambassadors to any country.

ARTICLE V:  SPONSORSHIP, FUNDING AND ACCOUNT
Section One: Sponsorship
The organization is opened and willing to accept sponsor in and out of Africa.

Section Two: Funding
Funds to run this organization shall be received from these sources.

  1. Members
  2. Programs
  3. Sponsors
  4. Donations

Section Three: Account
The Director, Financial Secretary and Treasurer shall serve as signatories to the organization bank account. The Director and any one of the other signatories shall sign to withdraw cash from the organization bank account.

 ARTICLE VI:            AMENDMENT
Section One: Amendment
This by-law and Constitution shall be opened to amendment provided that such amendment is recommended by two-thirds of CYDC memberships and approved by the Director.

May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with us as we strive towards a better life in Christ Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith, who is also able to establish us.
